SO HOW DOES THIS WORK?
WHAT'S AN E-TUNE?
An E-Tune is just another name for a remote tune. We handle all aspects of the tune remotely. The tune files are sent to you via email with instructions of how to take a data log. From there, we view the log and email another tune revision and repeat the process until the tune is complete.
HOW MANY REVISIONS WILL IT TAKE TO COMPLETE THE TUNE?
Typically 3-6 revisions, but it varies depending on the situation. Keep in mind, you'll typically have a pretty solid tune from the base map. The revision process is designed to fine tune all aspects and factor in any personal requests so the end product is a very specialized tune unique to you and your car.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
Typically, we turn around revisions within 24 hours unless we are under unique circumstances, so it ultimately depends on how quickly you can get us the requested logs. Generally we see our customers complete tunes within 1-2 weeks, but if you are on top of the logging and the car is mechanically sound we can often cut that down to 1 or 2 days. It's up to you!
HOW MUCH POWER WILL I MAKE?
The age old question! The truth is, it depends... It depends on the car, the climate, the modifications, the fuel, the dyno, etc. It also depends on the aggressiveness of the tune. If you want an estimate of realistic horsepower and torque numbers for your setup shoot us an email with your power goals and we'll open a dialogue to help you understand approximately how much power you can expect. That being said, all of our customers see a considerable power increase, along with smoother delivery and improved drive-ability.
IS TUNING THE CAR SAFE?
Adding power to any vehicle comes with inherent risk. Often, a custom tune will expose a weak link in a vehicle (usually things like spark plugs, coils, injectors, etc.) so it's smart to be up on maintenance prior to getting a tune. The further you want to push things, the higher the chance of a failure. That being said, here at fluent.tuned we absolutely focus on safety and reliability foremost. We treat our customers cars with more care than our own. If the customer wants to push the envelope we maintain communication and explain the risk vs reward so we can work together and determine the best course of action to meet your goals.
